Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been presenting lectures?

I have been presenting lectures for University, libraries, adult education programs and private clients since 2019.

How long are in person lectures?

Typically for libraries and private organizations, lectures last from 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours. For academic institutions like colleges and universities and adult continuing education programs, lectures last from 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

What are your equipment needs for your presentations?

I bring my own a MacBook Pro laptop with HDMI output that I connect to either an overhead projector or large screen TV, or I can provide a projector and screen if necessary. I also have a bluetooth speaker for smaller venues. I prefer a microphone and PA for large venues, but in smaller venues and classrooms I do not require this.

What do your presentation consist of?

A power-point multimedia presentation with many video clips and clips from films. I encourage some question and answer time either at the end of a lecture for large audiences, time permitting, or during a presentation for smaller audiences.

Do you offer online Zoom lectures and how long do they last?

Yes! The typical length for Zoom lectures are 1-2 hours.

Where do you offer your services?

While I am centralized in Long Island, for in-person lectures and presentations I can travel anywhere within the tristate area. I also frequent South Florida and as far as Albuquerque, New Mexico so you never know, it doesn’t hurt to ask!

For online Zoom lectures, there is no limit as far as distance.
